Graduate Project

I drew a pseudo-historical map of Hong Kong and its surrounding areas on the wooden entrance door of a residential unit using a ballpoint pen, thereby depicting the positioning of Hong Kong people.  Unit H, Mid-Floor, Block 3, Tsui Lai Garden (the work's title) is a flat in a public housing estate completed over thirty years ago under the Home Ownership Scheme. The piece extends from a single ordinary family to encompass livelihoods, collective memory, and the passage of time. I employ a multi-narrative approach to tell Hong Kong's story - a century-long tale of acculturation.

我使用原子筆在一扇住宅單位的木製大門上繪畫香港和其周邊地區的偽歷史地圖，藉此描繪香港人的定位。翠麗花園3座中層H室（即作品標題）是三十多年前落成的『居者有其屋』屋苑單位。作品由單一小康家庭延伸到民生、集體回憶、時代變遷。以多元敘事手法說好香港的故事，一個上百年的文化涵化故事。
